Playing Online Pool
Many people enjoy the great feeling of playing a good game of pool (or billiards if you really want to sound fancy). Rounding up a good game can be difficult though. You will either have to travel to a bar and pray that you can find someone who's interested in a good game, or you can buy a table and constantly pester all of your friends to play a game. Don't you wish there was some way you could experience pool through some sort of digital or electronic medium? Of course you do. Did you ever think of Internet pool?
Many different Internet arcades offer great flash games that can be played for free. These include pool games. You can usually find some format that will let you play your favorite game in a very convenient medium. The controls are excellent and allow you to easily get the experience of playing a good game inside the comfort of your own home.
You may think that playing over the Internet will cause the experience to become shallow or less interesting. I won't lie to you. You may miss the feeling of chalking up or the good fun of actually hitting the ball. The difference isn't too great though. You will be able to play with the same thought and skill that you’d normally put into a game. You’ll still get to think out what your next shot should be, and figure out the angles to pure perfection. Basically, you get exactly what you’d think you’d get in the terms of control. Everything is virtual, so you can plan out the spin, power, and direction of each shot with a few clicks. You just won’t actually be hitting anything.
The mode will be the biggest thing to get used too. There are some places that will allow you to have multiplayer games. This means that you and another person somewhere in the world will actually take turns and play out an entire game. You can’t be sure of finding this though, and you may just have to rely on a score-based system to get your pool fix. This isn’t too bad once you get used to it though. They basically just score you based on how well you played. So, if you take 100 shots to sink the eight ball, you won’t do well. Land a perfect break and sink them all, high score paradise. Pool is really pretty easy to score. Even more complicated forms, such as nine-ball, won’t upset the system much. A well built flash game will be able to handle just about anything that is thrown at it to reward a good player with the right score.
If you are a big fan of pool, you should love to play one of the online versions of it. It is just a lot more convenient. You don’t have to go anywhere, you don’t have to buy anything, you don’t have to reset the table, and you can switch games easily. If you can get past some of the limitations of playing online, you should be able to really kick back and enjoy yourself.

A Great Learning Experience When Playing Video Games
While many people believe that online video games can increase anti-social behaviors, violence, loss of communication skills, and even health issues, such as obesity, some critics seem to agree that online video games can help the game players increase hand eye coordination. In this sense, it seems to be that most critics have already recognized the beneficial effects of video games in their mind.
Online educational games provide game players brain training that can help them become even more intelligent. These games work by testing the cognitive functions of your brain, such as memory, reasoning, logical decision making, and so fort .Let’s visualize yourself working out at a local health club to get your body in shape, playing educational video games is just like taking your brain to the same gym to get mentally in shape.
Educational games are often viewed as boring, un-cool, and primitive, but the truth is that educational games could be as much fun as any other types of game. Often, those educational game player could have a lot more fun because they feel rewarded from the game. Think back to that game of trivia you played with friends a few years ago, do you remember how good you felt when getting the right answer? That's a type of feeling the game player could get from education games. The more people play these games, the greater confidence they have and which could bring them a better chance of succeeding at whatever they set their mind to achieve.
The best place to play free educational video games is on the internet. The internet could provide you a platform for educational learning which never happens before. Educational games have become an interesting and useful for the users. One of significant interests for many users is learning skills that can be applied in their workplace. One example of where this occurs is in the dental field. Many dental websites include online educational games that are both fun, informative, and catered towards user interests. Games could be, for example, Wordsearch, Matching Pair, and Crossword Puzzle. Each game will be fun and interactive for the user to learn real vocational terms that they can also use in their office.
The internet has transcended the traditional boundaries of online games by offering useful, and beneficial and educational contents for the user. After you play a few on line games, ask yourself if you've learned anything new and you will be probably surprised with the answer.

Playstation 3
Judging by early reports the Playstation 3 is going to be one sweet machine. It will have the revolutionary Blue-ray technology and the ability to watch and burn DVD’s. This is very important as most consumers have DVD technology at the moment and it will be a smooth overlap.
The Playstation 3 will be like a mini computer, with a huge amount of processing power. Some might even say more processing power than the now released XBOX 360.
When the Playstation 2 was released 7 years ago, the average number of games sold per unit sold was 5. Fastforward to the PSP; it released and has only sold about 2 games per PSP sold. This is mainly because of the multimedia aspect of the game. People are buying it to watch movies just as much as they are to play the games.
This doesn't sound so bad, but it can cause problems for Sony. A lot of Sony's income from video game consoles are the licensing fees they charge video game companies to create games on any of Sony's console platforms. Thus, when less games are being sold, less money is being paid for the rights to make games since not as many games are being bought compared to the past.
Another possible problem with the Playstation 3 is the complexity of the interface. Since the Playstation 3 is so powerful, crtics are speculating that the console may confuse consumers and give the PS3 the reputation of being complicated.
Judging by the screenshots of games such as Fight Night Round 3 that were made for the Playstation 3 the life like imaging on the games are astounding.
Watever the case may be, we will have to wait until the release of the Playstation 3 to speculate on it’s features. One thing if for sure, it will be a feature packed console like nothing consumers have seen before.

PS3: What’s the New Console on the Block Going to Be Worth?
Originally designed to be released in March of 2006, but delayed until November to work out some kinks left to work out with the new Blu-ray technology. Still, the PlayStation 3 is one of the most anticipated gaming consoles in years, and the promise is of a system that will simply blow the competition out of the water. Of course, all the gamers, as well as normal consumers, have heard this song and dance before with about every other games system that has ever come out (anyone remember Sega CD or the Dreamcast?). So what is true and what is hype? Is the PlayStation 3 really going to be worth all the hype (and rumored extra price), or will it be a let down?
Based on the early showings at gamers’ conventions, the PlayStation 3 does appear to be one of the most promising systems to ever come out. The PS3 is designed to be more than just another video game console, but an all in one amazing multimedia breakthrough, and the PS3 should include some amazing multimedia features, such as video chat, internet access, digital photo viewing, digital audio and video—all this in addition to taking video gaming to an entirely new level. For those of you who have invested large amounts of money in the old PlayStation systems, don’t worry: all PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 games will be instantly compatible with the PlayStation 3. This was one of the first pieces of information leaked out before the PS3’s initial release at a gamer’s conference, was that the PS3 would be completely backwards compatible. This has been one of the main knocks on the new X-Box is that they are still working out to make a lot of popular X-Box games compatible on the X-Box 360.
In addition to all these benefits, there are some definite technical aspects that are worth noting. The PlayStation 3 has a stunning 256MB of XDR memory and 256MB of GDDR3 memory dedicated to graphics. In addition to this, the designers seemed to go nuts with giving the PlayStation 3 the ability to store a wide variety of data storage and transfer abilities. Whereas the PlayStation 2 only supported a memory card, the new PS3 is supposed to support multiple forms of “portable media.” The PS3 has 6 USB 2.0 ports, a memory stick slot, an SD slot, and the system supports compact flash. Sony even saved a space for a removable 2.5” hard drive! To the video gaming tekkie, this system appears to be a dream come true, and well surpass the hype that came with it.
